Forbidden Forest was born as a passionate response to the stagnation of the dance music festival and clubbing circuit in the UK.
Created by a group of rave enthusiasts they felt frustrated by the restrictions that the classic warehouse or tent spaces often encumbered on a large-scale events eventually seeking inspiration in a location that was steeped in acid house history Donington Park.
The next Forbidden Forest takes place at Donington Park Forest on Sunday 6th May 2018
We open our doors at 11 AM and close at 11 PM (11:00 - 23:00 ). Please plan your journey in advance to allow you to arrive early. Please check for roadwork’s and heavy traffic on the day of the event. Local traffic information can be found here BBC travel
Last entry is 16:00, once you have entered the forest there will be no re admittance to the event.

You will also be able to buy drinks tokens in advance of the event date to save queuing upon entry. These are now available.
There will be a Locker service available onsite along with a phone charging station/portable units to purchase.

The nearest train station to Donington Park is East Midlands Parkway. This is a 12-minute taxi ride away from Forbidden Forest. At this station East Midlands Trains operate regular. Please check timetables.
Leave the M1 at junction 24, then at the roundabout take the 4th exit onto the A453 (signposted Tamworth, Birmingham). At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A453 (signposted East Midlands Airport, Diseworth, Donington Park).
Go past the Donington Park Service Area (MOTO). At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A453. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A453, go past the Airport, then straight on at the traffic lights (signposted for Donington Park Paddock Entrance), take the first right onto Melbourne Lane and then the Donington Park entrance is half a mile on your right.
There are many local taxi firms that service both the East Midlands Parkway train station as well as the East Midlands airport. We strongly advice you book your taxi in advance to ease your travel home. Those booking via Uber, use the code FORESTUBER for up to £15 off.
If you are lucky enough to be flying into the UK then the East Midlands airport is a mere 5 min drive to Forbidden Forest. The airport offers car hire facilities as well as hotels that are located directly next to the airport.
Leave M1 at junction 23a, then merge onto the A42 (signposted Stoke A50). At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A453 (signposted East Midlands Airport, Diseworth, Donington Park). Go past Donington Park Service Area (MOTO). At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A453.
At next roundabout take 1st exit onto the A453. At next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A453, go past the Airport, then straight on at the traffic lights (signposted for Donington Park Paddock Entrance), take first right onto Melbourne Lane then the Donington Park entrance is half a mile on your right. If arriving via A42, follow signs onto the A453 at Tongue. Sat Navs will take you to this entrance using the postcode DE74 2RP.

There is parking availible when you arive on site at £10 per car.

If you are buying 2nd hand resale tickets from people you know and trust, this shouldn't be an issue. However with Aprils show selling out in record time, we have seen a serge in fake tickets and people selling the same ticket on multiple times. Forbidden Forest can not guarantee entry on any 2nd hand resale ticket. Anyone buying 2nd hand resale tickets do at their own risk.
Unfortunatly you can not bring food and drink into the event. Food and drink will be served on site.
There isnt a dresscode as such, however there are some items not permited such as tracksuits, Manbags etc. For the full list, please see the 'Prohibated Items & Clothing' section.
All stages are positioned in the forest with a small degree of coverage, however they are mainly open air and exposed to the elements so please dress accordingly. Rain is alwasy likely so please bring attire to keep ypu comfertable and dry.

Yes lockers are available on site to put any belongings you don't want to carry.
Cash is so old-school. Once again, we will be running a token system on the bar’s at Forbidden Forest. For those who have attended previously you will know this system. For those who haven’t, it’s a simple system whereby you purchase drinks tokens with cash or card to spend at our bars.
These tokens can be purchased online before the event to save money and time on queuing upon entry.
Parking is available on site and is charged at £5 per vehicle. There is the option to leave your vehicle over night but all owners do so at their own risk. Forbidden forest and Donington Park cannot be held responsible for any damages or loss to any vehicle parked on site.
The event is strictly suited for anyone 18 and over. For those lucky to look younger than 25, in accordance with our Challenge 25 policy, our bar staff will also be required to check ID at point of sale. Please do not take this as an insult, take this as a compliment as there are many that thrive on being asked!

No food or drink is allowed into the event, we have carefully selected some great food vendors to provide you with meals throughout the event. Our bars will have a wide selection of alcoholic and soft drinks with great offers to suit everyone’s tastes and budget

The list below is of prohibited items you will not be able to bring into the event or wear.
Anybody that requires medication to be brought to the event must inform the organizer 48 hours prior to arrival. They must carry the relevant data sheets with the medication.
At Forbidden Forest safety is paramount. Our first aid team are there to be of help. They are your friends and care for your welfare. We will have first aiders working within the forest with medical tents positioned and sign posted within our concessions area.
Throughout the day and night our production will be made up of strobe lighting and special effects.
Forbidden Forest takes a zero tolerance approach to drugs. We are working closely with the local authorities to ensure anyone found in the possession of or have the intent to supply any illegal substance is prosecuted. Anyone caught in the possession of personnel drugs will be removed from the event and taken off site no matter what the circumstances.
Metal detectors will be used as part of the searches upon entry. Full body searches will be carried out at random and in accordance with the security companies policies.
At any large-scale event pickpockets are active. Mobile phone theft has increased over the years given that our society relies on them for everything. From making cashless payments to social media. Please keep your mobile phones safe. If you loose or feel your mobile phone has been stolen then please report this straight away to our venue staff or a member of security who will then help you find a place of quiet to allow your network provider to be contacted and the police made aware of the theft. Do not wait until the event is finished before reporting.
